From link to file in three steps

Snapvia reads what Instagram already shows the public, so there is nothing to install and nobody to sign in to.

  1. Copy the link

In Instagram, open the post or Reel, tap Share, then Copy link. For a profile, paste its address, like instagram.com/username. On a computer, copy the address from your browser's address bar.

  2. Paste it above

Drop it into the box at the top of this page and press Download. Snapvia checks the link and retrieves the media.

  3. Save the file

Preview what was found, then save each photo or video. A carousel gives you every slide, plus one button to save them all.

What you can save

Anything Instagram shows to people who aren’t logged in. Nothing that needs a login.

Photos
Single-image posts, saved as image files.
Videos and Reels
Reels and videos from public accounts, saved as video files.
Carousels
Every photo and video in a multi-slide post, one at a time or all together.
Profiles
Paste a public profile link to get its latest posts and Reels, up to 12. A carousel shows its first slide there. Paste the carousel's own link to get every slide.

Private accounts and followers-only posts can’t be downloaded. Stories and Highlights aren’t supported.

Questions people ask

Do I need an Instagram account or password?

No. Snapvia works from public links and never asks you to log in. If a site asks for your Instagram password in order to download something, close it.

Why did my link not work?

The usual causes are a private account, a post that was deleted, a share link instead of the post's own address, or Instagram turning the request away for a moment. Open the post in your browser, copy the address from the address bar, and try again in a minute if it still fails.

Can I download from a private account?

No. Snapvia only reaches content that anyone can view without logging in. Posts from private accounts, and anything limited to followers or close friends, can't be downloaded.

Can I paste a profile link?

Yes. Paste a public profile address, like instagram.com/username, and Snapvia lists its latest posts and Reels, up to 12. A carousel shows only its first slide in that list, so paste the carousel's own link to get every slide. A profile can take about half a minute to load.

Do Stories and Highlights work?

No. Snapvia downloads posts, Reels, carousels and public profiles. If you paste a Story or Highlight link, it tells you that it can't download it.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, Snapvia runs in your phone's browser with nothing to install. Files go wherever your browser saves downloads. On iPhone, tap the download icon in Safari's address bar to find them.

Does Snapvia keep a copy of what I download?

No. The file is passed from Instagram's servers to your device as it downloads, and Snapvia doesn't save it.

Is it okay to download anyone's posts?

Photos and videos belong to the people who made them. Download your own content, or content you have permission to use. Reposting someone else's work without asking can break copyright law and Instagram's rules.

Is Snapvia connected to Instagram?

No. Snapvia is an independent tool and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
